2013 Skipton RUFC Hospitality Day Success

On Saturday 30th November The Shepherd Partnership was pleased to once again sponsor a Skipton RUFC match, this year against Goole.

Just short of 50 clients, staff, and friends and associates gathered at Skipton RUFC clubhouse for an afternoon of rugby, pie & peas, beer, and good company.

Director Adam Dutton looks forward to this now-annual sponsorship event. He said, “We always have such a good day at the rugby. We work mostly via ‘phone and email with lots of people, and it’s great to have them all in one room, enjoying our hospitality and networking with each other. We like to give something back.”

The guests were full of praise for the efforts made:

“…a very enjoyable day – and evening spent in very good company…” – Chris Cundall, A J Hird Insurance Consultants

“…thank you for inviting me to Skipton Rugby club ….I had a great afternoon despite the result. Would you also pass on my thanks to the partners of the Shepherd Partnership for organising this event.” – Ian Hall, New Laithe Farm butchers

“ Thanks for hosting James and I on Saturday afternoon. The score wasn’t quite what we were looking for but I had a good time.” – Paul Davison CTA, FCCA, PD Tax Consultants

Sadly, the game didn’t go as well as the events in the clubhouse, with the score ending up at 3-50 to the away team. There’s a review of the match here, but let us warn you it’s not pretty….unless you’re a Goole fan, of course!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and better luck next time Skipton.
